The Miracle Mile aka Wilshire in LA would be a good place to be driving a Lotus Europa. It was a trendy part of LA before that was a thing (to use the current vernacular).
This was an exciting find as it was only released for 6 months in 1969. And it was found in a brick and motor store and not online. Plus it was filled with die cast cars including Hot Wheels red lines. Anyway Superfast was released in the second half of 1969 in a reaction to Hot Wheels. This is model that worked well as a Superfast. The 8 Wheel Crane not so much.
The real thing was rather small with a mid engine design. There was a tiny sliver of a rear window and I have heard of someone hooking up a video camera to use for backing up. This was long before the rear view camera became available in cars, a feature I really like. I would also like side view cameras to avoid that annoying blind spot when changing lanes.

One of the ugliest rear ends of any car. Good find though

Thank you very much elanski despite the rear end.
