While looking for the photo of my great-aunt wearing a mask during the 1918 influenza epidemic, I found a photo of my great-uncle with a pocket watch fob sticking out below his sweater. The shape looked familiar, so I started looking through my watch fobs and found this one that has a similar shape. I can't magnify the photo enough to see the image on the fob, but it could be this one.

Thanks for looking,
Dave
Well this is one cool fob I love it also because it's pre- prohibition American rye and it is my family name. Have never seen any bottles with that name. Have you? Would look great on the neck of one.
Roy.
Roy, no I haven't seen a Clarke's bottle. I will continue looking through photos of my great-uncle and see if I can find him holding one!

A little history I found on Clarke's Pure Rye company:

Very nice pw ! and how wonderful if it is same one as your Uncle is wearing :-)
Manikin, I have had this for years and I obtained it from my uncle and the photo is from his uncle, so it could very well be.

Really wonderful, and it looks like the one your great-uncle is wearing, especially in the second photo of him.

Whisky might ward off the flu. I'm sure many used that as an excuse. I quit hard stuff in 1991, - on requests from friends.
BB2, my first thought was a cauliflower on his wife's coat, and was soaked in Clarke's Pure Rye, and the mask was keeping her sober!!
Thanks for the appreciation.
Might work. LOL
