Found this at an antique Mall in Beaumont, CA. It is pretty much the middle of no where but there are several small antique malls there. There are actually many antique malls between there and Los Angeles and not so many in Los Angeles itself. No on to today's model.
This is the Classic '36 Ford Coupe first released in 1969. This is model I have wanted for years but any I run across were close to $100. This one was at a reasonable price about what one would pay on eBay. I try to avoid eBay as the search is part of the fun plus one sees things they may not consider if just searching eBay. Now back to the model.
It has a rumble seat that opens and closes and looks to be chopped. It is jacked up in back with a pair of big tires perfect for drag racing.
One more exciting item coming for this week although I do have an additional interesting post planned. Next week's offerings are pretty slim so far but I will probably come up with something interesting.
PS this one is considered Common in this color but it is popular I think which adds to the value a bit.
Great car & fabulous color
Pretty cool fortapache!! You did good!!
Nice! Congratulations on your find! Now after the Godfather reference, I'm picturing gangsters, perhaps Bonnie and Clyde, riding around in this.
ALERT! FORTAPACHE THIS IS NOT COMMON
This is known as "Ice Blue" and is the rarest color of the model. check out this link to learn more about this car: http://onlineredlineguide.com/69/69_classic_36_ford_coupe/69_classic_36_ford_coupe.html
the color you have is very close to ice blue, and may be considered that color
Thank you extra very much McCoyNelson. This is exciting news indeed as it is going from common to rare. I was just happy to get the 36 Ford.
Next hoping to get more of the Custom cars from the Sweet 16.
Thank you very much Newfld.
Thank you very much Scott.
Thank you very much betweenthelens. Do not think I will shoot up the car. Just saw that movie recently. It is sort of like watching a slow motion train wreck.

Ahh, the old quandary. Is it common or popular? Manufacturers aren't dumb; if something sells because it's popular, they make more. Therefore, many common things are actually very popular, and one day may be preciousssss (I hope, my house is full of it)
Thank you very much racer4four. I recall someone posted an item here that while rare was also in rather low demand. Thus rarity did not trump all as they claimed.
Thank you

Haha, fortapache. No, don't shoot it up but maybe fake bullet hole stickers? ;) I just saw a documentary on Bonnie and Clyde and that was also like watching a slow motion train wreck. Tragic, to say the least.
Yes the real Bonnie and Clyde were a train wreck too. Their car is about 4 hours from here I think.
Thank you SEAN68.
your very welcome my friend!!
