Extremely Rare Sherman Bracelet With Opague Jade Rhinestones & Clear and Fuschia Stones. Received March 5, 2018. Sherman Jewellery is set completely with prongs, no glue used. Sherman was started in 1947 in Montreal Canada. On some of my posts I have posted history of Sherman. His main motto was NOT "made to last a lifetime" but rather "Jewels of Elegance" which is imprinted in their beautiful jewellery boxes. He made his jewellery with the best stones and usually a lot of it still looks mint to this day !~
Both the bracelet and the brooch and earring set are signed and in pretty much mint condition.
This bracelet I received from an ebay seller from Toronto. His name is Joseph, so I think of the Andrew Sisters and their song, Joseph, Joseph. I was surpised to see this up as I never have seen this very rare colour combination with the beautiful jade green opague stones. This matches perfectly with the extremely rare large pinwheel pin that Manikin bought for me last year. These pieces make the writers of the book, Sherman Jewellery very envious so they tell me. It was extremely expensive for a bracelet (more than 500US), as for this one there were a lot of bidders even though the price started around 39 dollars. Hats off Mani, this post is mainly thanks to you !!~ ....G

Ms.CrystalShip, Yes Sherman did make a necklace which I was deciding on last year, but I found it rather inconsequential. There was not too much to it compared with the generous stones in the bracelet or the large pin. It came with some nice earrings, but there just was not enough to the necklace to interest me. Hopefully I may run into some nice necklace in the future that is more desirable.
I kind of doubt there were ever 50 fashion shows that were for sherman unless a piece here and a piece there, I cannot really answer your question as I would normally have no interest in a belt or a tiara for that matter. I started to collect sherman with an interest in bracelets, since they are the most desirable pieces to collect. Right now there are a number of Sherman Sellers out there wanting astronomical prices for a good piece, while an average piece sits idly, not selling. Some of the highest prices are being asked for some of the best pieces out there. All in all prices are very difficult in a notable collection. Some of the belts sherman made were made in goldtone metal (as talked about), not a rhinestone masterpiece at all. A sale of a belt depends on what level the belt is at. There are no tales as the one you talk about on the internet but then the things I have read on the internet seem to have disappeared !~
Thanks Eileen for the great information !~
I would be somewhat sceptical of anything more than a goldtone belt. When Sherman was selling his goldtone jewellery the fad for rhinestones had already passed. So the story I would think may have been highly exaggerated, and I would be very leery. I have heard some stories of belts but anything I heard did not make me want one. When rhinestones were in demand I might be able to see a runway show but when goldtone metal jewellery had taken over, there would have been no runway shows. As you read the cw description of Sherman, you have to realize also that there seems to be no proof I ever heard of a runway show. Also to note is that Sherman never advertised so a leap to the runway seems highly sketchy, but more easy to imagine than a fight for a belt !~
This is Royally Stunning! Makes me envious, too. Isn't Mani the best? =)

When I dream about wanted items of Sherman jewellery (those which are impossible to find) ... this is the bracelet that tops my dream list. Gorgeous!
Thanks Daisy, when you brought this up, I had no idea what I paid and I did not want to say the true amount as this site is run by ebay and posting prices is a no-no.
Suffice to say I was shocked but that was 2018, prices had got exhorbitant very quickly, but I had found some wonderful pieces. 800 for some necklaces and I think today they may or may not have been more expensive.
Wow, these are just dazzling. As usual, after seeing 2 or 3 of your magnificent pieces, I run out of superlatives! But I will say the bold juxtaposition of the fuchsia and opaque jade does pop -- spectacularly. Sherman could sometimes be extremely daring and unpredictable in his colour combinations; IMO he had an almost Japanese sensibility with regard to colours. I also love how the hot pink and the chartreuse tinge of the green keep this from feeling Christmassy (although you could almost get away with it if you wished it to wear it as a gesture to the season). Just a lovely, lovely set.
Thank you rhineisfine, so glad you like, very popular colour combo !~
Thank you Searching1, glad you like the photos !~
