This is a RARE 1865 view depicting early Wheeling, West Virginia photographer John Brown in a studio shot with his cameras.
Image is an early thin mount stereoview and was photographed by William Myles, also of Wheeling. I purchased this with several other Myles stereoviews. Most of the images with the same backdrop are marked with period ink or pencil notations of Myles. A few also carry the 1865 date.
This example has the name of the subject-- "John Brown, artists". Artist was a common 19th century reference to photographers.
ANY HELP with an identification of the cameras is greatly appreciated.

Excellent image ... you knew I would comment at some point. Camera farthest from photographer is a wet plate of some form. Lens is an American made petzval in a radial drive configuration. Difficult to see the camera details. The nearest camera is an 1950s Lewis-style dag that is basically the same as one I have posted on CW: https://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/9985-palmer-and-longking-daguerreotype-camera?in=166-activity. It too has a petzval lens.

I can confirm he was a Photographer as I have a CDV of a Union Civil War Officer from his studio. The bottom of the card is labeled "John Brown, Wheeling, West Va"
