Loetz Marmoriertes ‘Carneol’ with brass stand depicting Cherubs. Approximate height is 6.5”. I was fortunate enough to pick this up at my local auction house (With no Internet viewing) at a very reasonable price, was a little pleased with myself!! ;).

What a gorgeous piece, the colours are so rich, & the decoration so dainty...would love to find a piece of Carneol of my own someday...as for the polishing debate, I always polish metalware attachments on my glass but that's just me, I like to see them all shiny & neat. Some folks prefer to keep the patina. So my advice is follow your heart! :-)
