This was the item I most wanted from a recent auction:
Rhinehart's Vegetable and Cathartic Liver Pills. The Rhinehart Medicine Co., Manufacturing Druggists, Troy, Ohio, Proprietary Specialties.
I find references to their pills from 1879 to 1911, with a modified name (just "liver pills") in 1914, but I don't see any bottles or boxes online (with embossing or labels).
It is a small crate: labeled on two sides, stenciled on the other two. No lid (it would have slid in). I'm guessing later 1890s to 1900s. I greatly like it.
This is GREAT SpiritBear!!!!!
jscott0363, I liked it too. Thanks for commenting.
Super old crate, I like them too and this is an especially nice one.
Daddy_Nobucks, thank you. I'm half tempted to remove one label and cut it to fit the opposing side, thus nearly completing one whole label. But, I am likely to leave it as is.
