This is my grandfather, Bumper as we called him, standing next to his auto with the beloved canoe atop. Bumper was a Game Warden in MA from the 1930s-1950s and he rarely went anywhere without his Old Town guide canoe. It is canvas and mahogany, 17 feet in length and he handled it like it barely had any weight. I guess I know more about the canoe than I do the car. (I still have the canoe!)
Don't know much about the car but would love to if anyone wants to chime in. Thanks
NICE picture...up here in NH the hired all the poachers for the fish and game cops back in the day ...they knew the woods and where to find every thing and every one and who would shoot at them ...lol,, love the picture ...
Great that you still have the canoe.
