Got this one from France today, what I call a key maker's piece as it joins several shapes and decors under one producer. Not very big at 7.5 inches, not marked.
The decor is very attractive, and is also found with pink or golden frit, the shape is seen with decors such as marquetry, bambus, and webbed, to name a few.
The discussion about marks for Kralik is one that I do not get too excited about. The larger my collection becomes, the Czech marks found are multiplying for each producer. If we are talking about 20 years, entirely possible different marks were used at different plants in that time span. This is a natural occurrence with many decorative items made for export to USA during early 20th century.
This is fantastic Truthordare. The shape is the first exciting thing, and then that decor. The blue trails just up the buzz so well!
The seller's loss is very much your gain - really interesting piece; congrats !
Thank you Karen, I have always like that cobalt blue glass thread application, this is even more vibrant with the amber and white base.
Thank you for the loves CW members. Always appreciated.
Cobalt threading is gorgeous
