      There were about ten Claubergs. Wilhelm Clauberg first registered the pipe trademark in 1872. The "Est(ablished) - 1810" and "Germany" were added in the late 19th C. In 1920 the business and its trademarks were sold to Anton Wingen, another major German cutlery manufacturer, but Wingen does not seem to have used the Clauberg name, although he used the pipe logo and a standing-knight logo of Clauberg's. Your knife was probably made for export to the USA before the First World War.
