A thrift shop find from several years ago. It measures 2" x 2" x .75". Guessing this is folk art and no idea how old it is. I am assuming the inscription on the bottom "MADE INNC" means it was made in North Carolina, USA. Brass is my favorite metal and I keep this next to my arm chair and rub the underside with my thumb as I watch TV. Kind of a meditation piece which is (hopefully) delaying my impending mental breakdown. It has a nice weight to it. Not a clue as to who made it or where in North Carolina it was made. I've never seen another like it. It could possibly be a school shop project, a popular thing to do in the 1950s and 1960s.
He's adorable!
