This clock was made by a Glo Dial company in L A ca. It measures 18 inches in diameter and is in great condition for something made in the early 1950s. Heavy metal case around it and actually has a labeled green neon bulb or gas injected bulb, to give it that cool old neon green look when lit up! My wife found this one, I can’t take credit for this wonderful score, it’s all her! We are no longer looking for a neon clock after finding this one last week.
Your "assistant" has great taste Perry, beautiful clock!
KBYE, 890 on the AM dial, in Oklahoma City from 1945 through 1978 broadcast out of a studio that was replaced by the Murrah Federal Building. If that name sounds familiar, the Murrah Building was the site of the Oklahoma City domestic terrorism bombing.
In 1970, KBYE became the first station in Oklahoma City to format for a Black audience.
Thank you, Dave! I agree, she has a better eye than me! I get a little Coke focused sometimes.
Thanks artfoot, yep, we definitely did the research when we got it!
