Came across this Heavily adorned and tall dome top that I couldn't say no to even though its not perfect and no interior tray. This one sports a double front horizontal slat set up verses the 4 or 5 vertical slat style. The back hinges similar to Martin Maier ones, plus all the great die-cast trimmings makes up for it not being perfect so to speak. Hinges dated 1885. One different accent piece I have only encountered on this trunk, I assume it to be Sessions hardware, plus the remainder of the die-cast is by Sessions. No Maker name, no interior tray. This one has the large brass buttons which I don't see to often included on the cross slats. It looks very much like it would have come from Martin Maier just by the overall flavor, but that we'll never know. The hinges according to greendog are F.W. Beckwith from the same state as MM and he also states he has a MM trunk with these hinges on it., but again who knows. Much like greendog's last listed MM all wood trunk, this one measures the same kind of odd length at 33 inches edge to edge, x 19" D x 27" H.
