melaniej, I think you should call #1 Two Nice Pairs, or maybe that's just me! :^D
I really like the Andirons too, very nice find, and the Lamps are pretty cool too, but sounds like a lot of work, have fun! It looks like you out on a hunt for pairs, and filled the bill! :^)

How big is Medusa, anyways -- I agree w/Newfld that she's fantastic!! :-)
    4. melaniej melaniej, 6 years ago
AnythingObscure she is 18" tall and 10" wide at the base (arm to arm).

We just pulled in from Charleston,SC 40mins ago...happy to finally be back in Virginia. Will be returning to Charleston often so can't wait to see what I find on my next Hunt.
Have a couple more items to share but not tonight this girl is tired.

Cool eye makeup Melanie, you are far prettier than Medusa lol

Newfld... I love to play around with Snapchat.
I think Medusa and I have the same hair...lol.

So I decided to clean her up this morning and found a hole on top of her head and with the hole on her lower back at the base I assume at one time she may have been a lamp

      Cool makeup!

Keramikos I'm going to make a separate post of her...there I will post pictures of the hole in head lower back / back plus the complete bottom where you can view all the way through her. She must have had a stand/base at one time. Hoping the hubby can make me a wooden one which I will stain dark.

      Bad, bad, bad taste ...
    12. Alan2310 Alan2310, 6 years ago
Golgatha, taste of anyone is personal, I personally like really much the Abstract look of this figure, if don’t love this you don’t have to be rude, really, it’s your comment it’s Bad
    13. LauraH LauraH, 6 years ago
I agree with Alan. No need to be so unkind.
    14. melaniej melaniej, 6 years ago
Golgatha I know she's not a piece everyone would appreciate but I completely adore her.
I have never been rude to anyone on Collectors weekly that collects something that I may not....I just keep rolling on.
Sorry you think I have bad taste and that you felt the need to let me know.
      Happy Hunting

Melanie, your Medusa is very interesting! Keep on and ignore the walrus ;-))
    16. Roycroftbooksfromme1, 6 years ago
Golgatha,, beauty cannot be judged objectively, for what one person finds beautiful or admirable may not appeal to another but theres no reason to rude if someone impacts your sense of taste, for you may not have none at all... ..

I have to say I think all these finds are great, with Medusa being my fave of the three.
But I wanted to say I’ve never seen andirons with a crossbar and I’m wondering if that’s what the wrought iron item I purchased recently is. Even though I’ve turned it into a really cool hanging plant stand. Think I’ll google andirons.
      Nice finds!
