Here is a 2 1-2"L vintage brooch showing a pair of sailors with white rhinestone hats & upper body, emerald green rhinestone heads and worn enamel uniforms. Unmarked, appears to be made of forties pot metal. Inspired by a similar design by Marcel Boucher that had faux pearls for heads

These two look like their shambling reluctantly back to the ship- Maybe the Captain didn't give them shore leave for THAT long?!!!

Eileen isn't it very "on the town", the sailors do appear to be stepping out on their leave! Thank you for enjoying my fun nostalgic piece, my Dad was a sailor in the 50s and this reminds me of his old uniform. Great words, many thanks

They probably never got shore leave for very long, some guys didn't even get passes to leave their ship, poor them. It's so nice you are having wartime commemorations in your area, sometimes we have parades, these guys sure deserve many honors. Thanx for your fabulous comment

Sincere thanks Hoot for the very thoughtful love, these vintage sailors always remind me of veterans holidays & my dad the Navy radioman in the Korean war, it is nice to see temporarily carefree servicemen at a time of intense wartime, getting a little break
