This 4 1-4"L x 3"W emerald green glass airplane is nicely designed, with riveted propeller, doors, BOYD written across wings, and the B mark inside a diamond on the plane's left side. By Boyd Glass

Cute plane. I think I have some Boyd chicken on nests.
Looks like a Boyd's Glass day.
I know fort, just wanted you to know I pre-planned this Vets Day service related post & took pix last wk, I'm not a copycat like some we know. You're right though, a good day for our Boyd Glass pieces, both different and pretty neat. Thanks for the cool comment
Appreciate the kind love

MrsT also appreciate your nice comment, hope we get to see your Boyd chicken on nest piece:)
Airplanes always garner huge attention in the collecting world, I have a collection of them myself although I mostly have metal ones.
Phil your airplanes are great, I love both the lamps and table models. There is something very appealing about planes, the whole idea of them - the man made bird in the sky & its evolution, their sleek look, the thrills of riding in them & of course the talent and responsibility of piloting them, I can definitely understand why they are prized collectibles. Super comment as always
Really appreciate the love

Newfld, So cute. <3
It looks like Boyd Glass made at least three obvious greens (Nile Green 2-18-93, Columbia Green 3-4-03, and Meadow Green 10-4-07):

Plus Sea Mist Carnival, and Mint Julep Carnival, which do look greenish to me, but not at all like the green of yours:

https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/boyd-art-glass-airplane-mint-julip-1917759736
I guess Nile Green was an opaque satin:

Here's a Boyd Scottie dog in Meadow Green:
https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/boyd-glass-mac-scottie-dog-13-meadow-green
I couldn't quite tell the difference between Columbia green and Meadow green until I saw this Boyd tractor described as Meadow green:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/373582161605
It looks like it has swirls in it like slag glass, except it's transluscent, so if that's truly Boyd Meadow green, then your airplane is probably Columbia green.
I couldn't find a Boyd airplane in Columbia green besides yours, but here is a Boyd tugboat in Columbia green:

Thanks keramikos for the kind praise & great info on this Boyd plane. As I don't have it in front of me, but looking at 1st photo showing the mark, I'm not sure if the mark has the B diamond with underline (dating it 1983-1988) or top & bottom lines (dating it 1988-1993), so it should be one of the greens in those years. Your research is fantastic pls keep me posted!!
Newfld, You're welcome. :-)
Boyd Glass certainly made some cute items.
I also love this one with the back of plane touching ground and it brings to mind the beginning of "aeroplanes" and the Wright Brothers contributions !~
Thanks Phil for your super comment and you are absolutely spot on, this does look like one of those early Wright Bros plane inventions - where would aviation have been without those brave pioneers! Boyd did do a nice model with this one, isn't it cool how they imprinted their name across the top
Thanks ho2 and Giana for the love for this Boyd glass plane, I'm very glad you liked it and appreciate your kindness
