This item (and a few more, plus some other assorted parts) was 'scrapped' from a handful of old upright video game machines many years ago. [which, sadly, had been allowed to deteriorate into just-beyond-critical condition due to poor storage] It is a ~1/4" thick clear acrylic panel (a little under 2' square) which formed the front of the machine surrounding the CRT video monitor within. All its colorful graphics are screened (??) on its backside then further covered/protected with an opaque white layer, not shown because its boring -- from the back it just looks like a piece of clear plastic with a sorta oddly shaped white 'frame' painted around its outside edges. It currently lives propped up in one of my windows where it also serves as somewhat of an accidental security device (like dropping a stick into the track of your sliding patio door) preventing it from being opened far enough to be 'crawled thru'... :-)
Labels found on the machines at the time suggested they were manufactured in the early 1980's, by a California company.
THANKS MUCH to yougottahavestuff, fortapache, blunderbuss2, vetraio50, elanski, Toyrebel, EJW-54, iggy, officialfuel, and Trey for stopping by and tapping the <love it> button!! :-) :-) :-)
