Guinness (yes that Guinness in Dublin) produced an in-house magazine. This is the cover of their 1953 Christmas issue showing Santa being surprised by the kangaroo, one of the famous Guinness mascots. (Coca-Cola wasn't the only large beverage company to feature Santa in its advertising.) This parody of the well-known (beleaguered) zookeeper was created by the renowned artist John Gilroy, who was responsible for some of the most beloved and famous of all advertising art.
