Wanli Style bowl, purchased at an internet auction. Painted in cobalt blue oxide underglaze; signed.

However, I'm unfamiliar with the pinkish shade shining through the white glaze. Any suggestions?

According to Gotheborg.com "The Ming clay bodies seems to contain an iron impurity which makes the unglazed parts of the porcelain body to turn into an rusty iron color when fired. This rusty red color is often seen where the glaze stops short of the foot rim."
However, here it's also shown at the glazed part.

Highly appreciate to hear your comments!

i ran the japanese copies lets say the not signed dai ming manreki nen sei rogues
well thats ok it is chinese
what is wanli period = 1573-1619

well let,s circkle around WAnli , with a bit of fantasy this is an underglaze cobalt, IMO it is still of color , and there is no blackening in the cobalt

it isWAN (swastica which means every kind of stuff) design , well that,s hopefull that narrows the spread

what also narrows the spread is the the ROSA-SINENSIS = fuyo de named after the leafs near the center lets say the Staphylococcus

what is the alledged quaility of this peace , we got the Jindezhen part and you got the common Guan

Jingdezhen is in IMO more cobalt blue more and more contrast in the WAn blue in stead of white (assumption )

the differnce between Guan and Jingdezhen the pasting is diffent its like gluing an hot pancake against a cold frisby
but the trouble is the mould haven,t got much options , you can inflate an inner , but you push it out of the outer tire

so its actually rather complicatedfrom the bottom to escape the mould, so it is irregular and JIngdezhen is actually clipped

some people say this has to be Wanli because it is found VUNG TAU ship , well the ship sank 1690and Wanli = 1773-1619, there 2200 pieces i believe , and an amount was real WANLI , but this is only incidentally found and we got still of 70 years , so i think this could be real WANLi but considering the quality it is a somewhat copy, but still real old ,
