Yes still yet another first aid kit. I liked this one as it is filled with vintage goodies. I don't like guessing on the age on items but I am going pre 1950s on this. Ok maybe circa 1950, could be 1940.
This one has most of the original pieces. The manual, the two paper cups and the 16 Band Aids are missing. But a snake bite kit as been added. More importantly the liquid contents such as the mercurochrome are there. The burn ointment is there but leaking. The tubes like that tend to always be leaking. In the long ago it was wrapped in tissue and the tin was also lined with a tissue. So some vintage Kleenex in there

Could be 40's, the cotton package has that WW II era art style that was on J&J packaging at that time. I wish they still had Mercurochrome, it worked on a lot of different things.

I think you are pretty close on the date. I would say late 40's to mid 50's. During the war years the kit had a tourniquet included. Then by late 50's or early 60's as I recall they went to plastic cases. I have had several and researching them isn't terribly easy. I still have one in a metal case which has the lunch box handle. I have never used it but keep it in the shop buried where I could never find it if needed.

Thank you very much Toyrebel. I was thinking the packaging looked about that age. It's been a long time since I used Mercurochrome. It seems to be the rarest component of these sets.

Thank you very much fhrjr2. I have a few myself and most of my research is finding other people who are guessing on the age. Also thank you for the additional information.
