This is something I bought for my mom as she collects Donald and Daisy Duck. OK that really doesn't matter as it is all about this exciting item. And I don't really know a whole lot about it. Luckily there is a Disneykins site where all is known. OK there it is.
It was a give away to promote the introduction of the RCA Victor Color TV. Ludwig Von Drake is in the center. In color! Color TV was a big deal, peacock and all that. This set was released in 1961. Not sure how much programming in color you could watch then but there was the Wizard of Oz.
PS this was made by Marx Toys.
