    I cant figure out if its old or a souvenir. Picked it up at a flea market the other day. Says "Gold Trade Token H.G.E. Redeemable for $1.00 in trade from participating merchants" around the edges it says "Cripple Creek, Colorado" and "Worlds Greatest Gold Camp"m

      This is a fairly modern token. Tokens of this type were commonly made to order from the late 1960's through the 70's. If my memory is correct I think an outfit called The Patrick Mint was the main producer.

      I went to Cripple Creek when I was stationed at Ft. Carson in 66 before going to Nam. I believe I got one of these coins. Went from a Gold mine to a tourist trap. Still great country out there!!
