Loetz Bronce Phänomen Genre 7501 Vase, PN unknown, ca. 1899

This is a nice example of an early Loetz Phänomen Genre. PG 7501 is characterized by parallel threads which are pulled alternately up and down into a feather pattern around the body of the vase. This example is particularly well executed - the feather patterns are perfectly centered within the four indents in the vase body. The bronze ground is somewhat uncommon for this decor. The golden iridescence of the feather pulled decoration complements the bronze color perfectly.
