Hello everyone!!
Here's another of my Edwardian era suits. This is a double breasted Prince Albert style bespoke frock coat with a brocade waistcoat. Both pieces are from the very early 1900 period and in pristine condition. The coat has a date inside the pocket that shows Sept. 15, 1901. So, this would have been a custom made, or bespoke, piece.
Evidently, men were much smaller in that period, compared to today's standards. As I've mentioned before, the typical sizing from that period was 34" to 38" chest. I wear a 38S and both of these pieces fit me perfectly. The shirt, collar and bow tie are from the 1910 period, but did not come with this suit.
