Any idea on the timeframe this would have been used? I'm guessing medicine was taken in teaspoon, tablespoon or dessertspoon? Dessertspoon seems odd to me.
Makes a great shot glass! :-)

Great information on the history of dosage glassed! Thanks
As for the measurement details, I have to read that again, and again, and again.. :-)
Thanks again!
My summary: Makes a good shot glass . LOL !
Yep, a bit of history with every drink! :-)

Testing the dosage amounts. Medicinal purposes only. :-)
It's *always* a good thing when we collectors can actually put our history back to work, isn't it...?? :-) :-) :-)
It certainly is! :-)
Dose glasses, exclusively, are what I collect. I have even written a web site dedicated to them. It is a very fun item to collect because of the diversity of druggists' advertising on the glasses. You can specialize in glasses from one particular region, state or even city. I have collected embossed medicine measures from all over the US and world. I have even put together a collection of one from each of the 50 states in the USA (a very difficult pursuit that took me years and years).
Interesting! Would love to see some pictures of your collection.
