Mon, me not know nut'n bout no blud'clot saws ! LOL ! We'll, me thinks it's a crosscut blade.
    2. Morax, 6 years ago
I am being serious, i thought was just a cross cut at first but the blade edge, and nose got me thinking it was something else?
    3. yougottahavestuff yougottahavestuff, 6 years ago
Cutting a way through heavy brush??
Jungle. Could have used one in Nam!!
    4. Morax, 6 years ago
No numbers on it, no names, on handle or blade.. yes handle was strange is what drew me to it, it fits very comfortable either way you hold it, definitely can hack through some stuff! I took a electric chain saw scabbard and it fits in perfect...
Estate sale find... guy says "ehhhh gimme .50 ! Grabbed a couple other things handed him a 20.... (older couple downsizing for health reasons.. they can use my money ya know)

Hey, we have some weird humour at times here on CyberAsylum, er - CW. I live in the Caribbean & know J.S. about saws ! LOL ! Welcome & try to take us with a grain of salt. If this were military, it would be marked. If my iguanas saw me walk out the door with this, they would go for the highest point in a tree. LOL !

      Ice saw...?
    7. blunderbuss2 blunderbuss2, 6 years ago
Now, that, I never would have thought of !!
    8. Morax, 6 years ago
Oh trust me i have same humor, i didn't take it as bad at all! I was just saying dammit what is this thing?! An ice saw? Hmmmm... but what would the bevel side be for? The blade can't be flipped so knife edge is "leading"?
    9. Ilikethings Ilikethings, 6 years ago
well picture a guy in a ice house with this cutting blocks of ice.. I have the 6 foot one they use on lakes and rivers ...along with a dozen or so logging saws... it looks like a custom job by a local who imper-vised and cut down a logging saw ,, that would be my best guess and last one ...lol.... good luck
    10. Ilikethings Ilikethings, 6 years ago
LOL Thomas.. na.... its just a homemade tree trimmer for limbs some logger made up one off season ...or to cheap to buy as second chain saw for limning which I always had one for just that .. smaller saw & shorter bar to lift all day...saves time & money ..enjoy the day bud..

So the straight edge is sharp. Then it could be used as a machete when holding the grip closest to the blade & a saw when holding the perpendicular handle. That makes it a bush clearing tool. Sure doesn't look handmade. Wish I had had one in the 80's in the jungles of Central Amer..
    12. Morax, 6 years ago
Correct blunderbuss2. Machete sharp leading edge and nose. Nasty cross cut on spine.... oh, and knowing J.S. about saws don't help cause those are my initials Haha!

Jack is your 1st name ? Hope your last name isn't Sh*t. LMAO !!
    14. Ilikethings Ilikethings, 6 years ago
So where did the saw come from ... which you never mention and did your camera break after the one picture ..smiling they let you put 4 on your post ... the other side might tell more ...maybe a name and address is found out in the woods ...lol
    15. fhrjr2 fhrjr2, 6 years ago
Looks to be a lance tooth blade and the handle I believe is reversible to aim up or down. For cutting wood on a saw buck.
    16. Morax, 6 years ago
Yea i did in post afterwards, was a estate sale.. guy wanted 50 cent for it... no camera on phone works, i just took one quick shot while i had dogs outside, will get few more.. no blade not reversible, you have to turn over for saw use.. add for it being a cut down version, the bevel looks too clean to be a hand modified, more like machined bevel... will try for more detailed shots..
