8.7" high. Martele Wellenoptish--you may recognize it as Oceanic. So rare it is not even featured in the most prominent Loetz site. Do notice the PN picture does not include the opening at the top. Coming from Austria. Sorry about the pics. I had to photograph the screen, since Ruby Lane does not allow the copying of images.
WELL CAUGHT !!!!
Cameoboy, is this your piece? Or just showing one that's on Ruby Lane, because if you're just showing the Design Drawing, you could add a link to Ruby Lane, from your post, without infringement. Thanks for showing! :^)
I love this piece. Loetz figurals are very rare and even though this one was heavily damaged, it is well worth preserving and adding to any Loetz collection. As to why this piece is not currently shown on Loetz.com, it is BECAUSE it was actively being marketed for sale on Ruby Lane. Since both Loetz.com and CW are non selling websites, it is our policy that pieces that are actively being marketed for sale are not posted on Loetz.com until after they have sold. That being said, since it looks like you have purchased this piece for your collection, it can now be shown on Loetz.com. If you would like us to add it, please let me know. Again, congratulations on adding such a great piece to your Loetz collection. He is terminally cute!
Great find ! and such a hoot!
I had seen it for quite a while. It was a struggle, because I know
what market pundits say about damaged pieces. But . .. . I also collect owls.
This is the first time I find one of these. My problem: it's coming from Austria and I have no idea of when (or if) I'll get it [hopefully, after surviving the journey].
I must point out no one bought it because it was damaged, even if they knws it was rare. I did.
Sometimes if it is the only one ya just gotta bite the bullet and buy a piece ( if you can afford it : ) ) even with damage ..because you may never see one again ..
I have been bombarded by pundits questioning my attbution. They sent me picturpictures with ugly owls holding dishes on their heads. By now I have four, with their respective PN's and descriptions. None of them, I repeat, none corresponcorresponds to my owl, the only one described correctly as Wellenoptish.
