From China, early 1900s. Friend of mother's emigrated to Canada as child during WWII and took this with her. This plate has been on top of our china cabinet in a plate stand for as long as I can remember. I've added the plate back photos. I was almost embarrassed to post them - the ridge on the back of the plate is a mess. Also noticed that the plate once had a silver rim. Maybe gold, but the remaining metal looks silver. Thanks h02cultcha
No marks. Not even indentations.
despite appearing 'blank', it's important to always include a photo of the backside of all ceramic objects in order for us to evaluate it's history.
Thanks ho2cultcha, i will do that. I'll add the back of this plate.
