Something I picked up at the Long Beach Antique Flea Market. I am trying not to buy dead stuff but the price was right. That and due to rain only about a third of the dealers showed up. Maybe half. Not bad considering the last Rose Bowl with rain had about 1 in 6 dealers show up. I'm a mountain man so when it rains we all go to the beach.
Now as to the arachnid it has about 4" from leg tip to leg tip. It is a bit hairless compared to the usual tarantula, makes it look smaller but it seems to be the usual size.
The display case is glass on both sides so one can view the underside when one feels the need. I couple legs have come ungluded so they wiggle a bit when the case is moved. Makes it look alive.
Plenty of exciting items coming up so be sure not to miss a post!
Scary, lifelike & fabulous tarantula

Hey Brian, here's a link to a news post about the Tarantulas on Mt. Diablo, that I also put on keramiko's post:

This is cool Brian, thanks for posting! :^)
Thank you very much Bill. Good video to go with the post.
You're welcome Brian! :^)
This thing *still* gives me the creeps every time I glance at it scrolling back thru the S&T front page...even if thoroughly dead and framed in glass, it wouldn't ever find its way into *my* house...?? <smile><LOL>
Thank you very much valentino97.
