I got this base from a friend who was cleaning up an old fallen down shed. He knew I used old sewing bases for the tables in our ice cream shop. It was rusty so I took it apart ( every connection was bright and clean) wire brushed it and painted the pieces!!! When I went to put it back together I had to steel wool the connections to get it to fit back in!!! That's how tight the fit was!!! Not like most of the stuff they make nowadays!!! Got the drawers made for it on ebay. Wish the machine was in the shed but it wasn't.

I really like what you did with your W&G treadle base. It's good that you had drawers to add to it. I makes a very nice looking computer desk. Great job!
Love it!
I have a Singer treadle machine I use as a lamp table. My grandsons used to love for me to open the machine up and let them “sew” designs in paper - really just punching holes with the needle.
I also have a base I got for $10 at a thrift store which I haven’t done anything with yet....it needs a top. I like the top you chose!
I did this type work with them quite long ago. Always nice to see how others modify them and put them to good use. Nice job and thanks for sharing it with us.
Nice work....Looks Great!
You could work out with those treadle steps, beautiful with the quality thick marble you wisely used on the top !~
