    This is heavy for its size. Spring tension is light. Tip is shaped like a wide and thick standard screwdriver but looks wider...like a dull chisel.

      from what you have written it makes me think a push screw driver. If you hold the screw driver tip against something and push the handle does the tip spin?

      No its not like a Yankee. The action is only verticle. The tip is wide a flat, more like a chisel. There are no signs of impact on the handle top which makes me think just the weight of hand strikes to pry or chip....??

      I'm thinking some sort of one handed, spring-return slide hammer/pry/chisel/chipper... no markings so not likely mass produced.

      I've added another photo for comparison with a Yankee and large standard screw driver. Also, there is a small lubrication hole on the top of the handle.
