My wife and sister-in-law found this today in their uncle's attic in Cleveland, OH. any idea what model it is? Not sure if it is a Victrola or an Edison?

I have to agree with bobby725. I had one 60 years ago like this with the record storage below and on the inside of the top lid was a sticker with the RCA Nipper the dog. The records in mine were a quarter of an inch thick. There was a crank handle on the right side to wind it up.
I was also wondering if there was any imprint on it anywhere. Could even be underneath it, possibly. It's a real beauty!
I don't think it's an Edison or Victor. Is there any writing on the underside of the lid? Is there a name plate around the turntable? The motor itself could also have identifying information. It looks like it could be a Starr.
The sound boxes usually have information written on them as well.
Excellent information, I am learning every minute Phonoboy.
Thanks my wife did not take any photos of the inside before she left. She thought she saw the Edison plate as you described. Thanks all for the help
