This piece of shard has the key to unlocking the door to why some chose to leave there place behind due to climate changing and droughts animals moving east people had no choice but to move to find a better way of life or vanish which they did i do believe i found there existance what i found does not fit the puzzle of north carolina pottery it does have both the eastern and western together and may have be coexisting as a one

If these shards could talk this one would tell one )ong travel from the south western to north carokina and how oeople adapted to a new life i do feel that tribes were working with one another as a community so many pieces of pottery shards are connected ti the north as far as mississippi and ohio this one i found tells another group from the southwest this is a piece that needs to be seen

I have found very similar pieces on hilltops in New Mexico on an Elk Hunting trip I took on private land. Similar design and pattern. I’ve never seen so many Native American artifacts untouched in one place. Every hilltop it seemed had wonderful pieces of pottery. I hear if you look hard enough you can find near complete pots made of clay.
