This Art Nouveau glass is really growing on me...here's a new arrival, a deep green vase with intense iridescence & stripy applied trails.
It measures around 13.5 cm tall, 6.5 cm across the cut top rim, & 7.5 cm across the base, which does not have a pontil mark.
The glass is quite thick, & the vase has three indentations around it, giving it a very fluid appearance.
I acquired another green vase with similar stripy trails (compared to toothpaste at the time) last year, & most seemed to think it was by Kralik. I guess this one is also their work.
The posy of lichen posed beside it was found in the garden, shaken loose from a tree in high winds. Now I have it sitting in the vase, as it seems to go rather well with it...
Nice. In my opinion it would be more likely Pallme Koenig (?).
Many thanks, larksel, that is interesting to hear. I am certainly open to attributions on this piece...
You growing these? very nice.
So beautifully posed in the edge of the grass, it could be mistaken, on first glance, to be a snake! Something I’m always on alert for when I’m tending the flower beds.
Lovely vase!
Yes indeed philmac51, it's organic glass... :-)
Many thanks, Watchsearcher!
