This 5"H x 5 1-2"W pink satin glass rabbit was originally designed by Royal Hickman for Heisey Glass issued between 1948-1952 and called Rabbit #1, as this was the larger "mama" size to two others. The Heisey Collectors of America commissioned this rabbit for reissue by Dalzell Viking in 1992, it bears the imprint HCA 92 on one side and a D on the other side.
Pictures taken by a waterfall grotto at my new apartment complex, thought I would do a rare outdoor photo as my new living room is awaiting delivery of my usual venetian blinds for glass animal pix backdrop :)
He's most definitely adorable!!!
So adorable! Beautiful waterfall!
You seem to have moved into a very nice and scenic place, I wish I had a waterfall in the background of my photos! :D The little glass rabbit is in such a relaxing pose, you can just imagine him sitting in a meadow, his nose twitching and nibbling some grass blades!

Thanks so much Ken for the super compliments, I was really happy to find this bunny as it is in the rare satin pink frost, most of the reissues are clear glass. Thanx too for the kind wishes about our new place, it is definitely nicer than our last, and actually has two waterfalls (man made of course) & they remind me of those in our beloved Hawaii
Thanks Scott for the great compliment, it is top praise from my fellow rabbit lover friend!
MrsT thank you for the kind compliments I am glad you liked both the rabbit and waterfall, the photos came out good because this bunny was not transparent glass, I tried some others but they came out rather shadowy so I may leave the outdoor pix to other folks in future
Thanks Eileen for the lovely praise, yes that rose pink satin is super rare and I love all the designs Hickman did for Heisey, they always have a deco touch (notice the ears). Lol about the waterfall, they did do a pretty job and the landscaping is very nice here, it's kind of Italianate with lots of large stone work & cobblestone sidewalks - however nothing beats living close to the Pacific surf like you do!
Thanks so much dear Lauren for the great compliments, we were very lucky to find this nice place & our apt has a lovely serene view where I see lots of pretty wild birds out the windows in the pine trees. The main entrance has a huge circular waterfall that reminds me of the Trevi fountain in Rome, will have to photograph that in future. Glad you enjoyed the bunny & thank you for bringing it to life for me in the meadow, love that image!
Many thanks for the kind love Penny and Bruce, it is greatly appreciated & so pleased you enjoyed this rabbit
This is really neat.I love the color and the way his ears are shaped. He looks like he’s getting ready to take off on a rocket run.Very Nice.
Thanks so much jb for the super compliments and love, they are totally appreciated & very kind of you. Love the ears too, he does look like he's ready to bolt lol - the animal designs by Hickman were among the best Heisey made & I try to always look out for them
