I thought I would share a few Edison label designs with you all.
Pictured first is known as the etched Edison label, it ran for 1912 to the late 19-teens, and is the most common seen today. The next two date from the late 19-teens to 1921. The last label was produced for a short time in 1921 and is the rarest. After the previous label, and until production of the Edison Discs ceased in 29, Edison began using a white label with black letters. The last label design is perhaps the second most common. All Edison discs produced after 1921 have paper labels and it is common to see Disks with its paper label missing. I hope this was informative.
