I found these in the bottom of a box of items I purchased some years back at an auction and forgot about. does anyone have any idea what they might be? The first item almost looks like it might have been a "puller" of some type as the one end is a "dried" out suction cup. Thanks in advance.

The first item is a automotive valve lapping tool. I do not know the second. You are allowed to post dimensions here to add further clues.

Picture #1 opens but doesn't enlarge. Looking at it I would guess it is an old slide hammer suction cup dent puller. My 2 cents.

The second one is a lid lifter for wood burning stoves/ovens. The first one wouldn't make sense as a dent puller since it would appear to rotate. I'd say valve lapper.
