A low plate by Anna-Lisa Thomson (1905 -1952) for Uppsala Ekeby. The impressed marks are ALT and UE. Uppsala Ekeby was founded in 1886 in Sweden as a company manufacturing bricks and tiles, but later branched out into art pottery. I really like Anna-Lisa's work. She did some highly unusual work for UE. Her life was cut tragically short.
Hello Vetraio,
Thanks for posting such an interesting piece, and for providing a little bit of background information about it as well. Both You and Ozmarty have fantastic collections and have taught me a lot on this site, it's much appreciated.
Best regards,
Tony
