August 2019 purchase, CARVED ROCK CRYSTAL parure handmade in Sterling by Byron & Scott, of Colorado.
Roberto Agnolini was 20 when Mark Bryan hired him as the house designer at Bryan & Scott Jewelers Limited. It was 1957 and Agnolini, from a town outside of Verona in northern Italy, was curious about the United States.
Now, 53 years later, Agnolini, 73, is preparing to dial back the demands of the jewelry business.
Agnolini, who took over the business after Bryan’s death in 1997, plans to keep the Bryan & Scott name and continue jewelry design, appraisal and interior design on a less demanding schedule than running the store requires.
Beautiful set & appreciate the background about the designer
Thank you. I always wanted a rock crystal pools of light but most were unaffordable w/$$ off the charts. This carved rock crystal has so much more character.
Plus it’s undrilled! Looking FW to wearing and keeping the name alive even though the jeweler is no longer in business today.
May be sometime, somewhere there is a pools of light necklace waiting for you! And, a bracelet for me perhaps! Beautiful necklace/choker.
I've been looking at these crystals and to me they resemble frogs?
Yes frogs or toads.
But it is heavy as well as the earrings. And if you wear it all day like to work and go to take it off if gives of heat! Very cool... no pun intended.
Like I said for years I wanted a pools of light necklace. But now so many fakes, even reputable sites are fooled.
I waited and the universe responded with an authentic one-of a kind artisan crafted piece of magic!
