Scored this Boy Scout folding knife (or pocket knife) last week at PCC. As Boy Scout weaponry is hard to find that is a pretty big score. This one is made by Ulster.
There are two versions of Ulster Boy Scout knives. The first version went from 1923-1940 and had a kite shaped shield badge. The second era begins in 1963 (or 1962) and ends in 1985. These are marked Ulster USA at the base of the blade. The USA is underneath "Ulster" and can be hard to read. Also most noticeable is the round Boy Scout Badge. Would be nice to get one of the older ones but this one goes better with my uniforms.
It is a 4 bladed knife. The main blade is 2 1/2" which is typical of a pocket knife. Then there is that thin pick blade that I never use. The other 2 blades seen in photo #4 are the can opener and bottle opener/screw driver.
Rose Bowl is tomorrow. We shall see what exciting finds come up then.
That's a pretty awesome knife. Nice find!!
Hey Brian great condition on this knife, very good find! :^D It reminds me of my Remington Boy Scout Knife RS3333 from 1923-1924 with the Acorn Scout Shield, I carry it everyday, it's almost completely smooth now, and really only good for cutting string, not much of a blade left, good for opening bottles or cans still though! Thanks for showing! :^)
Thank you very much Scott.
Thank you very much Bill. Looked that up. It's a pretty neat knife.
