    Ancient Radar Detector

While sorting through some old storage boxes I ran across my old radar detector. I bought it back in the 1960’s after several speeding tickets. It didn’t help any that my old Dodge kept eating my speedometer cables. After three replacement cables I drove without and bought the radar detector. First thing I noticed was that it picked up close by Citizen Band radio transmissions and later that it gave me a false sense of security. By the time it picked up a speed trap radar the radar had already picked me up too. The speed cops must have had a good laugh when they saw the little black box hanging from the visor.
