Another of the permeant exhibits at the LA County Fairgrounds aka the Fairplex. As far as I know it is only open during the month long fair. Oh also the 2nd Sunday of every month. It is the oldest and possibly largest garden railway. It was started in 1924 and currently has 10,000 feet of track. There are actually several tracks, some go around the entire layout and some have a small circle. Also it changes every year.
One of the more interesting points of this layout is that the trees and plants are all real plants kept trimmed to fit in scale. The scale being G scale.
The most interesting feature to me are the various buildings and scenery. What I posted here is just a small sample. Of note here is Randy's Donuts, the Fox Theater in Pomona and a Van De Camps bakery. Haven't seen one of those in years.
Got some photos of the trains too so try not to panic as there will be more.
These are incredibly well done!! So amazingly lifelike!!
Thank you very much Scott. Looks better in person.
Thank you

I love these garden railways, they're so cool. This has a lot going on. I like the turntable, I always wanted one on my layout.
Thank you very much elanski. I'll take a photo of the actual theater some time.
Thank you very much Toyrebel. This is one of the best I have seen.
