Slides from a box of Egyptian scenes (found in the attic)

We found a box of 50 magic lantern slides in the in law's attic this week. Bought by my father in law in England in 1979 for nine pounds. All are of Egyptian scenery, statues and hieroglyphics. Some black and white and some colored (hand colored?). Nine of the slides are marked G W W. Box marked with a flag with the word Ensign inside it. A neat set. No real ideas about their provenance pre-1979. Wish we has a lantern to display them.
