My old display had every piece hung to the wall with its own hooks and or nails. Everything had to be rearranged and more holes in the wall. I had at least a half dozen pieces just sitting around waiting to be displayed. Actually maybe 9 or 10 items. I came up with this new system with chains on the wall. The knives and bayonets are hung from the chains and now I can just slide things around.
Photo 1 is an overview.
Photo #2 features WWII German bayonets and various others.
#3 a couple US WWII machetes and machine gun ammo belts.
#4 is WWII US combat knives and bayonets.
With luck tomorrow night will be a new Mini-Plane
Remember Talleyrand-Perigord's words to Napoleon: "You can do anything with bayonets, except sit on them !"
Thank you very much Golgatha. I don't know about the British spike bayonet though.
Thank you very much Ms.CrystalShip. Been collecting since I was a teen in the late 70s.
I might start thanking everyone individually soon! I have become lazy.
I like the chain idea. It suits the display.
Thank you very much elanski.
