The 1:1 version of this model was light bomber used by Germany in the early days of WWII. It carried about a ton of bombs which is not a lot for a twin engine bomber and had four 7.92 caliber machine guns. It also had a crew of 4. That would be one pilot, a bombardier and two gunners. All were in the front area of the plane, typical of WWII German bombers. In the Spanish civil war it could outrun enemy fighters. In WWII not so much. It was known as the Flying Pencil.
The model has no guns or moving parts so I am thinking it is an early model. OK the landing gear and propellers move but that is it. But then again it is a very neat and delicate model with the twin tails and detailed underside. All in all a very good looking model.
Still have many more Mini-Planes to post so do not panic,

Nice Mini share. Like you said the Do-17 got outpaced by new fighters, that happened to a lot of 30's designed aircraft. I've always like its slim design that gave it the nickname.

I was playing golf in Plymouth Mass next to the Airport 2 weeks ago. The WWII B 17 made a couple of passes over the course along with the last flying B 24

Thank you very much Toyrebel. Germany should have planned ahead more with their bombers.

Thank you very much stuff. I have toured that B17 it is very sad.

If Germany had waited 5 more yrs. before starting a war, they would have probably won. Another, "what if".

bb2 perhaps they would think to keep it a much smaller scale. Not sure if they had the resources to build a real navy in that time.

Attacking Russia wasn't exactly keeping it small scale ! That was proof that Uncle Adolph had lost his marbles.

I think France was the mistake. The US may have stayed out of it then. No bombers over Germany and the USSR would have run out of armored vehicles without lend lease.
