Another big lump of a sign. This one is an enamelled state sign for West Germany.
These were displayed at border crossing points and on some state buildings in the BRD.
If you ever saw the excellent 'Deutschland 86' (sequel to Deutschland 83, no less) you can see a similar sign on the West German embassy building in the titles.

Excellent sign. Something a bit different from the usual gas/oil enamel signs.
I really enjoyed "Deutschland 83" a few years ago, but haven't yet seen the "86" series, so will have to check it out. This sign is a unique find!
