Picked up this 1915 N.C. License Plate at an Estate sale. Damaged but still has a great look!!! Baltimore "BALTO" Enamel and Novelty Co. was one of the largest enamel companies in U.S. til it went out of Biz in 1943 do to the lack of steel during WWII. Porcelain License Plates
where mostly phased out 1915 16 due to embossed steel plates were cheaper and easier to make. The ad came from a 1916 The American City Magazine. The gasoline safety sign on the back was a Bonus. CW magic again 3rd pic was the right way til I posted it??
