This cemetery is a bit of a roadside attraction where solemn is combined with not so solemn. Most of the big celebrities go to Forest Lawn Glendale (which is worth a visit). But this cemetery still allows large monuments and a kind of anything goes attitude. Plus like a roadside attraction it is a bit run down. Now on with the tour.
First is Tyrone Power. A proper monument to an old school Hollywood legend.
Next is Mickey Rooney who is on the outside of a large mausoleum. Several others are in that one too such as Rudolph Valentino and Peter Lorre.
After that we have Mickey Rooney's frequent costar Judy Garland who was best known for playing Dorothy. The director of Wizard of Oz is also interred here.
Last is Dee Dee Ramone. Still more to come and it is worth another visit.
AMAZING !!!
Thank you very much vetraio50.
Thank you very much keramikos. I think they just let it wear off. A visitor to the park cleared the grass away from the tombstone when I was there.
Thank you very much valentino97. It is in the mausoleum in the southeast corner. Let me know and I will tell you exactly where it is.
This one needs more love.
