This sculpture is 13" high x 5" wide x 3" deep. The base is 3" square. It has a clear label that reads "Murano Glassware". It appears to be amethyst glass with white canes. Thrift shop find today. Weather is bad here today, but I was out of woodpecker cakes for my feeder so I had to go out. On the way back I stopped at a couple of thrift shops and found this and a really cool art glass bowl. As I mentioned before, I know nothing about Murano glass, so not sure what I have here. It is real purty, though. I can at least tell where the front is (second image) as the label is on that side of the base! ;0) It was really (REALLY) dirty, but I didn't want to immerse it in water so gave it a sponge bath. It still has a bit of grime on it. Maybe from a smoker's home...
Yeah that is a great piece!
@Broochman - Thanks! Yeah, I was pretty surprised it survived, too. The gal at the checkout said she had been eyeing it, herself.
@iggy - Thanks! I am pretty happy with it!
Thanks for loving my Murano sculpture iggyi, Jenni, AnythingObscure, Broochman, larksel and dlpetersen!
Thank you fortapache and blunderbuss2!
Thanks for loving my Murano snake sculpture Kevin!
@renedijkstra - Thanks for your comment! "Snakes" was a tongue in cheek comment. I appreciate your expertise on Murano glass! I should learn more about Italian glass, in general, but it is such a broad topic. Easier for me when it is labeled!
Thanks for loving my Murano thrift shop find renedijkstra, aura, Thomas and Karen

Thanks valentino97!
I found another one of these recently - all rainbow-hued! and I have another deep blue/green one which broke at the nursery recently, sadly! i'll post the rainbow one soon. i need to photograph them like you have against a neutral ground and lit so nicely! great photography!
Thanks ho2cultcha! Sorry for the loss of one of your pieces but look forward to seeing the survivor.
yours is really subtle and gorgeous! i love the b/w stripes.
Thanks, ho2cultcha! It is actually really deep purple and white. The purple can only be easily seen at the tips where the glass gets thinner but the thicker parts look purple, too, in bright sunlight.
Thank you ehunt and vcal!
