    What is this used for? Is it antique? Writing looks Chinese or something. Can anyone read this? Nothing is written on bottom...only the sides and top. Has a removable siffer? And a lid.

      Why not take it to a local Asian store or cafe and ask someone old who might speak it? Also a local university might be able to be able to assist or point you in the right direction.
